Save the following dates for the next sketchcrawls!

14 April at 14:00 - Lëtzebuerg dat ass Vakanz! We are invited to the Place d’Armes for a sketchcrawl when the Ministry of Economy/Directorate-general for Tourism kicks off this campaign. A lounge area will be available with a view towards Cercle Cité, a historic building that we can sketch. The organisers will make sketch material available to people visiting the event so they can join us. Regional tourist offices, the Luxembourg City Tourist Office, local producers as well as Luxembourg's museums and castles will be present at the ‘Plëss’.

4 May at 18:00-20:00 – opening of our exhibition at the Musée de Calèches Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Peppange during the International Urban Sketcher week

8-9 June – Urban History Festival in Bouneweg (Bonnevoie)

7 July – Clervaux, historic city in northern Luxembourg.

4 August at 14:00 – We return to the Musée ‘A Possen’ in Bech-Kleinmacher. We are invited by the museum to come during the 'Wine Culture Enjoy' week which highlights culture along the Mosel river.

More information regarding each individual event will come around 2 weeks before it takes place.

Join us for the International Urban Sketchers Week 2024

From 1- 7 May every year, we will be showcasing the activities of our community and the many different ways that urban sketching brings people together & changes lives around the world.


International Urban Sketchers Week is a global celebration of on-location drawing. Urban Sketchers Luxembourg will start an exhibition of sketches made in the Musée de Calèches Grande-Duchesse Charlotte . The exhibition will be in the museum, more information will follow.


Anyone anywhere can take part in International Urban Sketchers Week! Join us and use the hashtag #uskweek2024 to share your sketching stories – let’s show the world what urban sketching means to you!

Ein, Zwei, Polizei… Results of the March meeting of USkLux at the Policemusee

 Our visit to the police museum was a real discovery. We were warmly welcomed by a very friendly policeman, one of the volunteers who run the museum. 




The large sous-terrain contains a wealth of props illustrating the history of Luxembourg's police and gendarmes. But there are also a large number of objects from foreign corps.

Quite a lot of people turned up, eager to to draw - familiar faces and some newcomers too (welcome to our group!)

It was extremely difficult to choose an item or scene to sketch. Way too much choice! Shall we sketch a remarkable scene, a mannekin in a fantastic costume or a shiny detail?

Here the (partial) harvest of the afternoon. It does not show all the sketches made that afternoon as some participants had to leave early.
