Two December sketchcrawls with USk Lux: Naturmusée and Nationalmusée

December is a busy month, but our sketcher group had 2 meetings!

The first was in the Naturmusée where we could draw and paint in the different parts of the museum. The museum had a special exhibition about biodiversity, Tönende Tiere (12.10.2024 – 05.01.2025). This visit was much appreciated by the group of sketcher and many funny and interesting drawings were made on location.

October 2024 in the Lëtzebuerg City Museum

Our October meeting in the Lëtzebuerg City Museum was a real success! Many sketchers joined our meeting for the first time, and many sketches were produced there.

Below is selection of sketches from the museum.

After the museum, we had a very nice Drink & Draw in the D'Gelle Klack.

Thanks to all participants!

Ein, Zwei, Polizei… Results of the March meeting of USkLux at the Policemusee

Our visit to the police museum was a real discovery. We were warmly welcomed by a very friendly policeman, one of the volunteers who run the museum.

The large sous-terrain contains a wealth of props illustrating the history of Luxembourg's police and gendarmes. But there are also a large number of objects from foreign corps.

You can sniff the atmosphere of the afternoon in this youtube video

Quite a lot of people turned up, eager to to draw - familiar faces and some newcomers too (welcome to our group!)

It was extremely difficult to choose an item or scene to sketch. Way too much choice! Shall we sketch a remarkable scene, a mannekin in a fantastic costume or a shiny detail?

Here the (partial) harvest of the afternoon. It does not show all the sketches made that afternoon as some participants had to leave early.

And here some individual results:
