September sketch meeting: Hämmelsmarsch

It's the time of the year of the Schueberfouer, the annual Luxembourg city fair with a history since 1340. Did you know that traditionally, the village fairs in Luxembourg are opened by a Hämmelsmarsch, the local musicians parading the streets, originally led by a shepherd with his sheep?  

This tradition is visible in the Hämmelsmarsch fountain on the Grande Rue/Rue Genistre corner in Luxembourg city center, on the Um roude Pëtz square. This fountain was recently renovated and put back in mint condition.

Sketching in the museum A Possen

Urban Sketchers Luxembourg's August meeting took place in Bech-Kleinmacher, a village along the Moselle river, where we visited the museum A Possen.
