Announcement: June 2021 sketchcrawl of Urban Sketchers Luxembourg

Juin, c’est le mois des roses.
Nous allons dessiner dans le parc et la petite roseraie du château de Munsbach. Le château a été construit en 1775 et a longtemps servi de manoir avant de devenir un château à la fin du XIXe siècle avec l'ajout de plusieurs tours. Le château n'est pas accessible, mais la roseraie et le parc sont ouverts au public. Les “ Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn” y ont rassemblé des anciennes et nouvelles variétés de roses luxembourgeoises dans le but de préserver le patrimoine rosier national.
Rendez-vous le dimanche 6 juin 2021 à 14h à l’entree du parc du chateau de Munsbach (TEC: gare de Munsbach + 10 minutes à pied, ou bus 144 arret Minsber Baach)

June is the month of roses.
We are going to draw in the park and the small rose garden of the castle of Munsbach. The castle was built in 1775 and was used as a manor house for a long time before becoming a castle at the end of the 19th century with the addition of several towers. The castle is not accessible, but the rose garden and the park are open to the public. The "Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn" have collected old and new varieties of Luxembourg roses in order to preserve the national rose heritage.
Let’s meet on Sunday 6 June 2021 at 2pm at the entrance to the park of the castle of Munsbach (public transport: Munsbach station + 10 minutes walk or bus 144 Minsber Baach stop)

Europe Day 2021: May Sketchcrawl of the Urban Sketchers Luxembourg
It was very nice, on this beautiful May day, to sketch together again. We found back some familiar faces after such a long time and we met also some enthusiastic newcomers: welcome in our group Urban Sketchers Luxembourg!
The theme of the day, the buildings of het European Court of Justice of the European Union, was magnificent, thorny and difficult in the beginning - so many straight lines, such a complicated perspective, too big to conquer, too impressive.

Announcement: May 2021 Sketchcrawl of USkLux : Europe Day

Pour notre prochaine rencontre qui aura lieu le Dimanche 9 mai à 14h00, nous vous proposons de dessiner et de célébrer la Journée de l'Europe en nous retrouvant à la Cour Européenne de Justice au Kirchberg (Boulevard Konrad Adenauer, L-2925 Luxembourg). Rendez-vous devant l'entrée de l’hôtel Mama Shelter (en face de la Cour Européenne de Justice). Pour ceux qui veulent, nous irons y boire un verre après la session de dessin. 🇪🇺🇪🇺

April 2021 sketchcrawl at the Tramway Museum
Chers amis sketchers,
Pour notre prochaine rencontre qui aura lieu le Dimanche 11 Avril à 14h00, nous vous proposons de nous retrouver au Musée de Tramways et des bus de la Ville de Luxembourg. L’entrée est gratuite. Rendez-vous devant le musée.
En raison de la crise sanitaire actuelle et afin de ne pas déranger les autres visiteurs, il nous faudra rester en petits groupes pour dessiner.
Pour celles et ceux qui préfèrent (ou sont obligés de s’isoler), vous pouvez vous rendre sur le site du musée qui propose de belles photos. Vous pouvez également utiliser les liens Google Street view ci-dessous:

For our next meeting on Sunday April 11 at 14h00, we will meet at the Musée de Tramways et des bus de la Ville de Luxembourg. Access is free. Meeting point at entrance.
Due to the sanitary crisis and in order not to bother other visitors, we will have to draw in small groups.

It was very nice to see you all again, "alive and kicking - euh - sketching"!
