Pour notre réunion d’avril nous allons faire d'une pierre deux coups:

la ville ét la campagne.

Venez dessiner les vaches, les moutons, les produits du terroir et engins agricoles, les agriculteurs, etc. qui seront réunis sur la place de la Constitution dans le centre de Luxembourg pour l’événement Bauerenhaff an der Stad.

For our April meeting we are going to kill two birds with one stone: city ànd countryside.

Come and sketch the cows, sheep, regional produce and agricultural machinery, and the farmers who will gather at the place de la Constitution in the centre of Luxembourg for the event Bauerenhaff an der Stad.

Hello dear sketchers,

The Festival des migrations, des cultures et de la Citoyenneté takes place this weekend, a great occasion to discover the different cultures in Luxembourg while sketching the colourful stands, the animations and the general atmosphere.

Let's meet at the main entrance of the Lux Expo (10, Circuit de la Foire Internationale, Kirchberg) at 14.00 on Sunday 3 March 2019.

Bring light and portable supplies :)

The Subjective Atlas project

The Subjective Atlas project team (http://subjectiveatlas.info/) is collecting material to collaboratively map Luxembourg from inside out. The idea is to capture the strength, opportunities and beauty of Luxembourg in a subjective atlas which will be published and distributed online, in museums and bookshops.

Urban Sketchers Luxembourg can submit a series of drawings with the theme "Luxembourg skyline" (for example taken from the Sofitel Hotel) and contribute to the project. Material collected by the Subjective Atlas team will be reviewed to be part of the final publication. Would you like to participate with Urban Sketchers Lux? Make sure you pick a drawing matching the theme Luxembourg skyline and:

• email usk.luxembourg@gmail.com with subject line: Name + Surname + Subjective Atlas project 
• attach a high-quality scan or photo of your drawing (make sure it's at least 300 dpi)
• include information about yourself (name, where you are from, where you live, etc.)
• attach a photo of yourself (max. 5 megabyte)

Kindly send your works by 6 March 2019.

As far as the book goes, it's important to collect "series" of similar drawings and not just individual drawings. If you have any other idea or theme in mind feel free to contact Giacomo (giacomo@socialmatter.eu) directly with your proposal.

Dear sketchers,

Our treat for the February sketchcrawl is a classic: the panoramic view of Luxembourg City from the bar l'Observatoire on the eighth floor of the Sofitel Grand Ducal Hotel.

Take out your pencils and brushes, put your notebooks in horizontal position and hop... here we go.

Let's meet at 2 pm on Sunday 3 February 2019 at the reception desk of the Sofitel Grand Ducal Hotel (40 Boulevard d'Avranches, 1160 Luxembourg - near the station).

USKLUX au Conservatoire National des Véhicules Historiques

Nous étions une vingtaine ce samedi au Conservatoire National des Véhicules Historiques!
Nous avions même une invitée surprise puisque Corinne Raes (USK Belgium) était venue nous rendre visite.

A l'abri du froid et sous une belle lumière nous avons profité de ces anciens garages de construction automobile transformés en musée pour dessiner les voitures classiques de la collection luxembourgeoise, avec en prime une exposition spéciale Alfa Romeo.

On s'en est donné à coeur joie face aux couleurs, aux courbes, aux reflets de ces engins au design incroyable qui changeaient nos habitudes.

Résultat: une superbe production très diversifiée qui fait belle place à la couleur et aux expérimentations de plusieurs techniques. Bravo à tous!

Sketchcrawl 19th January at Conservatoire National des Véhicules Historiques in Diekirch

Hi Everyone,

The LUCA invites you for a sketchcrawl at the Conservatoire National des Véhicules Historiques on Satudray 19th of January.

The building is interesting, but we will most of all sketching the wonderful cars inside: curves, details, reflections, colors, so many funny things to sketch!

The actual exhibition is about Alfa Romeo.

Meeting at the entrance at 2 pm.
Entrance fee 3€

We suggest to organise carpooling from Luxembourg for those interested.

January Sketchcrawl

For our January sketchcrawl we are going to draw in the MUDAM: the Luxembourg skyline from the windows of the museum, the beautiful interior architecture of the building, the interesting objects of the temporary and permanent exhibitions and a drink & draw in the museum bar afterwards.

Water-based techniques are not allowed inside the museum, so bring pencils, crayons, markers, etc.

Let's meet at 2 pm on Sunday 6 January 2019 at  the entrance of the museum.

Pour notre sketchcrawl de janvier, nous allons dessiner dans le MUDAM: le skyline du Luxembourg, la belle architecture intérieure du bâtiment, les objets intéressants des expositions temporaires et permanentes et un drink & draw au bar du musée par la suite.
